Dr. Courtney Howard was born and raised in Florida. Dr. Howard has a love for the ocean and enjoys all activities on the water including offshore tournament fishing, scuba diving, boating, and enjoying the sunshine on the beach. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of North Florida prior to attending veterinary school at Ross University. She completed her clinical rotations at Oregon State University and graduated veterinary school in 2014.

She spent some time in Eugene, Oregon practicing medicine before heading out to the great state of Utah in 2016 with her husband, who is also a veterinarian and is a native to Utah. She is excited to partner with clients and their pets for a collaborative approach to pet care with Utah Veterinary Services and Summit Veterinary.

Her professional interests include soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, and preventative care.  When she is not caring for others pets, she is caring for her husband, two children, and her furry and feathered family.

Clare Fillmore

Veterinary Technician

Clare is a vet tech and college student studying at Utah State and SLCC. I’ve always had a deep love for animals, and working in veterinary medicine has only grown my passion, especially when it comes to surgery. One day, I hope to specialize in orthopedics and help animals heal and move better. When I’m not at work or school, you’ll probably find me outdoors, exploring trails with my horse, Lute, and soaking up everything nature has to offer.

Sam Myers

Samantha is from Salt Lake and started working in veterinary medicine in 2019. Recently, she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies. Her love of animals fuels her passion for veterinary medicine, and she would love to work with wildlife in the future.

In Samantha’s free time you can find her enjoying various outdoor hobbies, baking delicious sweet treats, or snuggled up with her kitty, Pickles, enjoying a good book.
