Taylor Howard, DVM
Owner & Veterinarian

Dr. Taylor Howard graduated with his bachelor of science degree in animal/dairy veterinary science at Utah State University. He received his doctorate of veterinary medicine (DVM) from Ross University in St. Kitts. He then continued his training through Lloyd Veterinary Medical Center at Iowa State University.
​
He began his career in Mixed animal practice in Scio, Oregon. He practiced from 2013-2016 Ambulatory/general practice and Emergency medicine along the Willamette Valley from Portland to Eugene. In 2016 he returned to SLC to continue his practice closer to family.
​
Dr. Howard enjoys the challenge of working with animals of all shapes, sizes and species. While he focuses on dogs and cats, he is always excited to help understand and treat others when able.
​
He shares his family with his wife, Dr. Courtney Howard (DVM), his two children, and his furred and feathered pets.
Areas of focus:
Internal medicine, Dermatology (immuno-therapy/allergies), Dentistry, Soft Tissue surgery, Oncology, Respiratory and Cardiovascular disease, and Emergency Care.
Cassie Czerny, CVT, VPM

Cassie graduated from Utah Career College with her associates in Veterinary Technology in 2004. Recently, she received her undergraduate certificate in Veterinary Practice Management in 2019.
Cassie worked at a small animal practice in Bountiful, Utah for 10 years. She has two chihuahuas named Dutch & Alan. She enjoys running, biking, skiing, camping, and spending time with her fantastic son. Her favorite parts of owning a practice is patient care, client education, and surgery.

Born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, Stacy has been a vet tech since 1989.
She has 2 cats and a dog. Stacy loves to write in her spare time.
Hailey Duke
Veterinary Assistant

Hailey was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, and started working in vet medicine in 2021 to help pets and their owners.
She has 4 pets of her own; a Doberman named Zakia and three cats named Sushi, Rice, and Sake. I look forward to continuing to help pets and their owners at Summit Veterinary Urgent Care!
Savannah Lopez
CSR, Veterinary Assistant

Savannah was born and raised in Salt Lake City and loves to spend her free time training and riding her horse Hollywood. Her favorite thing to do is spend time with family and friends.
What excites her about coming to Summit is being able to meet all the great people, clients and all the cute animals. She loves being able to help take care of them and their people.
Nixie Dalton
Veterinary Technician

Nixie has lived in Utah her whole life. She knew she wanted to work with animals since she was a little girl. Nixie has volunteered, done vet shadowing, and taken all kinds of different classes.
She knows this was what she was meant to do in life. She has been a technician for the last 5 years. She chose this field because she loves animals with all her heart and wants to help them to the best of her ability. Nixie has 5 dogs and 8 cats. They mean the world to her.
Makayla Jones
CSR, Veterinary Assistant

Makayla was born and raised in a small town in Wyoming where she developed a love for animals starting at a young age.
She loves camping, hunting, fishing, horseback riding, four-wheeling, and playing card games. She is super excited to start this new adventure and be apart of the Summit team!
